Middle East GAA League round-up
January 29, 2017
Abu Dhabi na Fianna lifted the Middle East GAA Senior League title following the final round of the league in Al Ain on Friday.
With contenders Sharjah Gaels failing to qualify from their group, the men from the capital effectively had the title sealed at the semi-final stage but went on to beat Dubai Celts B in a thrilling final.
Elsewhere, Intermediate League winners Jumeirah Gaels continued their 19 game unbeaten run after brushing aside Abu Dhabi na Fianna C in the final.
In the Junior A League, the Sharjah Gaels B sealed Intermediate honours for next season by the narrowest of margins, to bring a second title to the Emirate in as many years.
Meanwhile, in the Junior B League, Dubai Celts F secured victory in a competitive league championship.
In the Middle East LGFA (ladies) Intermediate League final, hosts Al Ain edged out the Arabian Celts and gained promotion to the Senior League for next season.
All eyes turn to Sharjah for 10th March and the finals of the remaining LGFA Leagues.
Congratulations to all.
