About Laochra Gaels
Laochra GAA was formed in Dubai in 2021 with a simple idea – to create a social club where lads could enjoy playing a bit of GAA with friends. What started out casually quickly grew into something much bigger. Players from all across the region were drawn in by the club’s welcoming and laid-back atmosphere – and our growing success on the pitch.
Our kit and colours were inspired by the iconic All Blacks, and we've kept that bold, clean look across all our branding ever since.
In 2023, we fielded our first ever Laochra ladies team, and it’s been a massive success. The team has grown rapidly and reached new heights, winning the Junior B Championship this year. They’re now a driving force within the club, both on and off the field.
Our men’s team also rose through the ranks with back-to-back promotions from Junior B to Intermediate and are now pushing hard to reach senior level. Today, both our men’s and ladies teams have multiple squads competing across different levels. This would only be possible thanks to our sponsors McCaffertys and Ralph Education.
But more than the games, it’s the people who make Laochra special. From the players to the volunteers and those who keep the club running every day, the sense of community and belonging is something we’re all proud of.
