March Review
March 13, 2025
The final round of the football league took place in Sharjah, with Dubai Celts and Abu Dhabi Na Fianna A crowned senior men's and ladies champions respectively.
Dubai Celts enjoyed an excellent season, winning three out of four tournaments and sealing the title with a decisive victory over Sharjah in the final round.
In the ladies’ division, Abu Dhabi secured two tournament wins and reached two finals. Despite losing to hosts Sharjah in the final round, the team from the capital did enough to lift the league title.
In intermediate men’s football, Jumeirah Gaels overcame a strong Laochra Gaels side to claim the title, while Arabian Celts were crowned intermediate ladies’ champions.
In senior hurling, Jumeirah Gaels won their first-ever senior men’s league title - a remarkable achievement for a club that has only been fielding hurling teams since 2018. Meanwhile, Dubai Celts An Clarach stormed to a fourth successive tournament victory over Dubai Celts An Bhaile to secure the senior camogie league title.
The final tournament of the season will take place in Abu Dhabi on 18–19 April.
