The Middle East GAA Championship took place over the weekend of 18–19 April at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, marking the end of another incredible season of Gaelic Games in the region.

We were honoured to welcome LGFA President Trina Murray, Camogie Association President Brian Molloy, and GAA President Jarlath Burns to the Championship weekend.

The two-day tournament featured 11 men’s football competitions, 10 ladies’ football competitions, 3 hurling competitions, and 2 camogie competitions, bringing together 100 teams, nearly 200 games and more than 80 hours of pitch time.

Dubai Celts and Abu Dhabi Na Fianna built on their league success in Sharjah by adding Championship titles in the senior men’s and ladies’ football grades.

In senior hurling and camogie, Abu Dhabi Na Fianna and Dubai Celts were crowned deserved champions, while Jumeirah Gaels and Abu Dhabi Na Fianna claimed the intermediate hurling and camogie titles respectively.

In intermediate men’s football, Kerry Middle East earned a superb win over Jumeirah Gaels, while Qatar took home the intermediate ladies’ title.
