Celts dominate Hurling & Camogie League Round 1

The opening round of the Middle East GAA Hurling and Camogie League took place in Al Ain on Friday, with 51 matches played throughout the evening as Dubai Celts dominated the senior competitions to capture both titles.

In the senior hurling final, Dubai Celts overcame the defending league champions Jumeirah Gaels on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-12, with goals coming from Sean O’Sullivan, Cillian Treacy and Conal Donovan.

The senior camogie final saw Celts once again come out on top, defeating Jumeirah Gaels 4-6 to 0-2 in an impressive diplay.

In the intermediate hurling, Al Reem Shamrocks claimed victory over Jumeirah Gaels (2-5 to 0-7), while their ladies lifted the camogie title after beating Dubai Celts B 2-4 to 0-2.
